Question:

How can I improve on my track run with the 100 meter dash and hurdle race?

I was wondering if anyone knew how I could get faster on the track. . .I want to work really hard to be good so any ideas or suggestions?

  1. Try squats to get you faster. Also bleachers are good and any resistance running.


  2. Eat lots of ice cream and sit around as often as possible.

  3. I used to be a sprinter and a hurtler so I hope this helps. To work on my 100 time I would run repeatitive 150 meters and 200meters to build your bodies sprinting endurance. Also on both hurtels and the 100 meter your start can make or break you. Practice starting with blocks and work on a powerful start. Your finish is also important practice really leaning or almost throwing yourself as your crossing the finish line. This means throwing your head and chest forward because atleast where i run they stop the clock when your chest crosses the finish line.  

  4. those r my events too def start doing sprint workouts. my coach's favorite is 6 100s 4 200s and 3 300s and 1 400 its really tough but it really does improve ur time.

    for hurdles (110 intermediate i guess)  try doing a 400 workout. like do the 10 hurdles on one staright away and then jog a 100 then set up another 10 hurdles on the second straight away (but dont do too many of this or u will really fall) also r u three stepping?? cause if ur not u should be that that will def make u faster. and just work on drills
