1) The basement in my new place stays relatively dry. I run a dehumdifier down there dayly, but since my wife (the reason why the living room is out) and I only lived there for the past few months, I don't know how it gets in the winter. Would my table be okay down there even if it gets pretty cold in the winter?

2) The metal bars have been "gunked" up pretty good over the years (spilled beer, greasy hands, etc). What can I use to get them nice and smooth and stay that way? All I've used before is a can of generic WD40 but the smoothness never seems to last very long.

3) The table's been on carpet, concrete, and wood floors so the s***w-on height adjusters on the bottoms of the legs are completely out of whack at this point. I've tried old baseball cards, coasters, magazines, you name it, to try to level the table as much as possible. Does anyone have any tips for me to achieve flawless levelness? I use one of those "bubble rods" to judge it, but can't seem to get it perfect.

  1. It seems like you are doing evverything right, the only other thing I would suggest, is to spray Silicone on the metal bars to have them slide better, and keep them from rusting.

One thing I would do is make a cover for it, with rubber all around it, to fit snuggly, and come off easy, as you use it. Enjoy it.

EDIT-to completely level it, without it getting off level in some way, due to weather or, people just playing, I would say to use rubber soles from old shoes, and even glue it on there.
