I don't have any money. I can't afford to live anywhere. I can't afford to study. I can't afford to move. There are no jobs in this city. I have no friends. I'm 27 years old. How the h**l do I get out?

  1. First impressions: it sounds like you're blaming. Stop. Take responsibility for your actions. Whatever went wrong in the past, make up for it. All I'm hearing are excuses from a guy who probably has unlimited potential, but is too lazy to rack his brains for a job.

First question to ask yourself: Are you self-motivated to do whatever it takes to get out of this hole? If not, you can forget about it anyways.

You need money. There are no jobs in this city is a poor excuse. Hey, if you're really set to look for one, what's there to stop you? I bet you're trying to find a decent job with a set salary in mind. Well, dude, this is reality! If you have no education, then you can't get the job of your dreams. I recommend getting a low paying job, like cleaning or at McDonald's or something. This should set you busy for a while. It doesn't matter what, just keep yourself occupied in daytime rather than doing nothing. A low paying job at first's okay. But, at night, I'd recommend you study. Go to the library and borrow. Go on the net and invest in your education. Because you need to have an area of expertise to get out of this hole.

You need to find a hobby, or something that you are passionate about or good at. It'd be better if it's both. And you need to focus even more now than ever. Get educated. I can't afford it is another poor excuse. If you don't have money, find a part time job to afford your education to find better careers in the future or build your own business. The point is, you need to get started somewhere, and you need to do it NOW. Don't say, 'I'll do it tomorrow.', COZ YOU WON'T. Don't procrastinate, get active and get going.

When everything is settled, and YOU'VE FOUND A JOB, then come back and we'll see how you've progressed. If you find yourself hesitating, think, 'JUST DO IT.' There's no better course of action THAN TO TAKE ACTION ITSELF.

Here's where I usually say good luck, but I'm not. I'm going to say, 'work hard'. Well, work hard. I hope by the time you come back, you'll be more motivated to get on with life.
