How can I improve the clarity of international calls with Vonage?

I have Vonage telephone service and in general it performs really well, however when my wife calls her relatives in South America - the reception isn't perfectly clear. Is there anyway to improve the clarity on my end? I realize that the clarity issues might be on there end.

Any help would be appreciated.

Probably not. Try Skype. If both parties have Skype it is free.
