How can I increase my chances of having twins naturally?

I would really like to have my own twins instead of a single baby, I have an identical twin myself and we're the only twins in our family.

by being a twin yourself, your chances are automaticaly increased, but only very slightly (less that 1%). There is no other way to increase the chances of you having identical twins. If you would like to increase your chances of having fraternal (non identical) twins, you could either take clomid (a fertility drug... which means that it wouldn't exactly be natural... and your doc would never give you a prescription for clomid simply because you desire having twins) or you could wait until you are over the age of 35 to have twins, which will also increase your chances very slightly (1-2%)

i really dont thnk there are any tricks or anything. its really down to genetcis..being a twin yourself ou have increased chances..but normally twins are a result of TWINS (ur in luck) or twins in the family...or techicnal implantation because they sometimes implant more then one egg to increase chances..

Nothing really naturally..I'm sure you could do some not so natural stuff and have twins..Like taking a fertility med like clomid would increase your chances of having multiples. I would just be happy to have one..but good luck

Hey there, well I was just thinking about this the other day, I was interested in anything that would increase my chances of having twins as well when planning for my second. I concieved before I had a chance to trial anything though. I did find something very interesting online though, I will attemt to find the link and post it on here in your answers if I can. I found out that there is a tribe, I think it's in Africa or somewhere I can't remember, but almost all of the pregnancies in this tribe eventuate in twin deliveries. The article I found attributed it to there diet ,as over the lifespan of this tribe (many, many years) there had been next to no single conceptions. Im sure it was a diet of mostly seafood that contained some type of fish????? If you google tribe/twin/conceptions perhahs you can find it. I found a lot out about these people, I 'm sorry I can't be more help to you at this stage, but at least now you know that there is a tribe of  people out there that do something natuarally that produces twin babies, comb the net looking for them I'm sure you'll find something on them. Well you have a better chance naturally by having twins in the family.

And you being a twin highered the chances even more!

You can also take clomid but thats a pill so not naturally. Clomid highers the risk of having twins or more 10%.

I don't think you can do anything to increase your chances naturally but since you are a twin then you have more chances to have twins than a person who does not have twins in their family.

identical twins are totally random and happens when one fertilized egg splits in half and makes two. identical twins are not hereditary, and do not increase your chances of having twins. fraternal twins ARE hereditary (which means your chances are increased by a small amount) and fraternal twins means that both ovaries produced an egg in each fallopian tube and both eggs were fertilized by sperm.  you cannot increase your chances of twins naturally, and your chances are not increased by having an identical twin yourself.
