Question:

How can I increase my flexibillity?

I'm started Ballet this September and i know how to do splits and butterflys stretches and kick my leg up high over my head but i want to increase it. Have any ideas on how to? (: please and thanks

  1. maybe you can take yoga or modern dance i would prefer modern cause yoga makes you calm and modern dance helps you improve in flexibility I on the other hand was born flexibile but i take modern dance cause i think its meant for me


  2. If you can already do most of that, I'm sure there is really nothing more you can do. I may be wrong. All I can say is stretch! Good luck!

  3. Stretch and keep stretching all the time. In your free time, prop your leg up on a table or bar or something and stretch. Lie of the floor and practice catching your leg. (opposite hand with opposite foot) While you are watching TV, stay in the splits position. Same goes if you are reading or if you are doing homework on the floor. Practice kicking your foot backwards. Do the bridge, and move your hands closer to your feet every time. When you can, try to grab you ankles with your hands in the bridge.

  4. i'm in gymnastics and to increase my flexibillity i streach a lot and if u get really flexibillity dont stop streaching cuz u will lose flexibillity it takes a while so dont give up. jogging and staying in shape helps to

  5. get some basic yoga dvd's and practice that because the stretches in that will make you flexible.

  6. Stay in your splits during the commercials until your show comes back. Time about 2 1/2 mintintes

  7. When your doing your splits, bring your back leg up to touch your head. When your doing the butterfly, bring put ur arms straight in front of you on the floor as close to your body while still in the butterfly & u should feel it a lot.
