I want to be able to see things in a broader range when looking forward (as close to 360 degree vision as possible). How can I best achieve this?

  1. There are some dedicated eye exercises you could try! "better vision without glasses" is a pamphlet/booklet that guides you in this! Some dietary advice also helps in this regard! Looking at the sun (morning&evening) with gently closed eyes, is part of the exercise!

  2. People in this situation tend to hold their eyes still and diffuse their vision to try to see everything perfectly distinctly all at the same time. They immediately ruin their vision because diffusion is contrary to the way our eyes work. Speed readers are taught to diffuse their eyesight to see a whole sentance, paragraph, and even page all at the same time, and lose their vision very quickly.

Our eyes work naturally best by taking in detail after detail in a connect the dot fashion. This may sound counter intuitive but the more we let our peripheral go and the smaller the details we let or interest rest upon, the more perfect our mental picture will be, and the more relaxed and aware we will be.

Vision is in the mind, brought to us by the best software on the planet. This software give us an amazing picture of our world along with the best of digital zoom. If we tapped directly into the signal from our eyeballs we would see that our signal is upside down, a lot less distinct, and has two black holes in it.

We can't see beyond the 170-175 degree that footprint stated, but we can have an active amazing memory of the rest of the picture if we use our vision system correctly. Natural perfect eyesight can activate memory to photgraphic memory levels. Artificial corrections(glasses, contacts, lasik) diminish our awareness and reduce our memory. This is one reason why people with high prescriptions tend to be more introverted, clutsty, and uncoordinated.

Corrections: Eye exercises(eye pushups, eye aerobics, eye yoga) are completely icorrect and have nothing to do with natural perfect eyesight or the Bates Method. Closed Eyelid Sunning, pointing your nose towards the sun with eyelids closed, !!never open eyelids!!, is a very relaxing self healing activity.

  3. Unless you can grow 2 more eyes in the back of your head, it is quite impossible.

Normal human visual field covers 170 to 175 degrees...which is almost a complete semi circle...

Unless you grow more eyes, or get your present ones to protrude form your head about 2 inches, you will just have to settle for being human.

No excercises will improve that...especially looking at the sun, of all the dumb things to tell people to do.
