How can I install itunes for windows xp?

I tried downloading it from the itunes website but it tells me I need windows service pack 2 or a later version. I had already installed itunes when I bought the Ipod but after I tried installing another program it stopped working.

If itune installation is stuck just because you don't have XP SP2, then I would say go and download that too. I would say go for XP SP3 rather and enjoy the secure and stable OS for your iTunes.

Regardless of iTunes usage, you should really upgrade your XP to Service Pack 2 (or even better, 3) anyway. This fixes many security and stability issues, and is easily done via http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

And when this is done, installing iTunes should not be a problem - just as a bonus :)
