  4. Big oil is the make producers of ethonal.  For retail I believe it is Kroger (the grocery store)

  5. I believe you are right.

If you are looking for investment trees that lead to success, be aware that there are several areas you may investigate

    1. Biofuels. Ethanol has been touted as a dead end technology by some, but the fact is it required only a companion technology to get off the ground. That can be found in turning used cooking oils to fuel and additives.

    2. Coastal electricity. Two methods have yielded great promise: bobbing ducks and ocean thermal conversion. The bang for the buck lies with the latter. Research that by going back over old TRW files.

    3. Exotics. One of the hidden places for investors is in fields that might be dismissed by the short nosed as not yielding enough supposed 'bag for the buck'. However in energy science there is another, perhaps more profound reality. A great many of the electromechanical tasks that we used to depend on in manufacture and product industry come from using immediate energy transfers.

What this means is that there is a whole science of nano-mechanics and quantum efficiency that make product that used to require more energy capable of running on far less. To give you the idea: A TV used to require and whole collection of transformers, power supplies and analog electoric waste. Then there's the tv on your cell phone.

The truth is, the solution to the energy problem is not far from our fingertips, and if you really immerse yourself in the ordinary science of it, you might find that there's a lot to invest in.

Unless you are only concerned about the end of this week. In which event, it's oil all the way, eh?
