How can I keep deer from eating out the top of my tomato plants?

  1. Only the top?  If you still have tomatoes to eat on the rest of the plant, share a little.  You might have to build yourself a sturdy enclosure to keep them out.  Try contacting your local ranger, they might know of some c**p you can spray on the plants to deter the deer.  There must be something deer find obnoxious. (or are you talking about the 'other' type of 'tomato' plants - nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more?)
