Question:

How can I keep eye shadow from creasing in my lids??

I have oily skin, so when I apply eye shadow, it creases. I've tried applying cream shadow first so the powder will have something to adhere to. It almost seems to make it worse. Since I'm medium/dark complexioned, dark shawdows don't look as bad, but I do like wearing lighter colors...any advice??

  1. I use a thin film of concealer on my lids before patting on shadow with a brush. Part of it is finding products that work for you. Trial and error blows, but it's worth it in the end. I am not a fan of cream shadows, except in certain circumstances, and they don't work for everyone.

If all else fails, carry your shadow with you and touch up during the day. Smooth out the crease with your ring finger, and pat on a thin layer of fresh shadow.

No one's makeup looks perfect all day. The only reason women in the department stores look flawless is because they can touch up all day.

  2. definitely invest in a good base! id say urban decay primer potion, it is very sheer so if you are looking for your makeup to pop head over to a MAC store or counter and get mac paints or paint pots in the colors similar to your eye shadows.

  3. I would try using just cream shadow-- they come in many different colors and they dont rub off in your crease as much.

    That's what i would do

    Hope this helps!

  4. Wash your face then apply foundation make sure your skin is dry!

Then apply the eyeshadow!Use pinkish light color! Then finish with eyeliner and clear mascara!

P.S. Take the make up off before you go to bed or else it's going to  get messy and you'll get dry skin that's a no no! And get a q - tip and fix any mistakes.

    Good Luck!

  5. just any eyeshadow that you like, because its not the eyeshadow that makes the creases show so badly. what you gotta do is go 2 the makeup department @ nordstroms or some other department store and ask 4 after-makeup spray. it works really well and just make sure you close your eyes b4 you spray it on your face. it improves dry or oily faces. make sure you use it after you are done applying your makeup. btw its misty so it won't spray big sprays and leave puddles on your face. p.s. some stores dont have it so good luck finding it! (i was lucky enough 2 get the last one)

    p.s.s. its around $30

    hope i helped!!!
