How can I keep from getting Prickly hairs when I shave "Down There"?

Question

I swim so I want to shave my whole body so I can swim faster. Also I want it to look neat down there, and plus It makes it appear bigger :) .

But when I shave down there it is really Prickly! It's itchy and stuff and it sucks... What do you girls do? Cause I know chicks will have experience in the shave deparment.

Trim it so theres still a little hair. Or wax, a 'back, sack and crack' won't do you you no harm!

Buy a product called Bikini Zone. It takes care of any irritation it won't take care of the prickly stuff but it is a great product. The itchy stuff will take care of itself after you've been doing this for awhile.

odd but w/e use bikini shave gel or Wax and veet wil keep it unprinkly for longer

I get a full blown brazilian bikini wax. It doesn't itch! And the hair takes weeks to grow back! I don't know how confident you are with your body, but you're a swimmer! So it's probably good. If you do go into a salon, don't be embarrassed, they get male customers too so it's not uncommon. But if you really don't want to do this (I have a VERY high tolerance for pain, plus I've been waxing for a while) you can always exfoliate! Exfoliation will help with the itch and keep you from getting ingrown hairs. I use a thick peach scrub that I get at Whole Foods. It's rough so it really does the trick. But you should also get an anti-itch cream. Personally, I think the after affects of shaving are worse than getting a quick and easy wax. You're brave to stand that constant itch!

Go to mexico. they have a special chemical there that makes all your pubic hair fall out. It's not legal in the U.S but it's really cheap there.

U cant really ever STOP the prickle and yeah it will itch like a B***** when u first start doing it...lol  but like girls shave there legs u just got to keep doing it ever coulpe days...

dont shave any longer.. book your self into a good salon for a brazillian wax, the results last 4-6 weeks and eventually the regrowth slows and becomes more finer.. good luck!!

Use A LOT of shaving cream. And then right after you shave put on a lot of lotion so the skin doesn't become irritated. Hope this helps...

Oh... or you could just get waxed. But that would hurt A LOT.

im a dude, you just have to get all the hairs down there. i also use gold bond that helps..use a new razor everytime and just make sure you get it all.

Shave with shaving cream. Then afterwards, put lotion on it. Pretty much put lotion on it whenever so that your skin stays moisturized...it will help a lot!!

if u do shave, just put some lotion or cream down  there twice a day, that helps most of the time
