How can I keep mosquitoes out of my house?

For some reason we have multiple mosquitoes in our house and they keep biting us and there was one in the room where my dog sleeps and I couldn't find it to kill it last night and I'm more worried about her getting bit. Is there anything I can spray inside and around my dog or put out to deter the mosquitoes from us?

  1. We use Pet Guard on our dogs. It's not a spray. You rub it on your dog. You can also spray your yard with Malathion. Hope this is helpful.

  2. close the door and windows. There is bug spray for dogs, you can get some if you are that crazy about your dog. But a few bug bites won't kill your dog.

  3. THERE IS A MOSQUITO LAWN SPRAY THAT IS REALLY EFFECTIVE. I WOULD USE DOOR AND WINDOW SCREEN NETS. I WOULD ORDER AVON SKIN SO SOFT BUG REPELLENT IT IS EFFECTIVE AND DOESN'T STINK. DON'T LEAVE WATER LAYING OUT. MAYBE EVEN CALL SOMEONE TO SPRAY FOR BUGS.

  4. hmmm grow basil..its a good spice and it discoureges mesquitos to get in

  5. I recently heard that Listerine is a good mosquito repellent.  Couldn't hurt to try.

If you have a mosquito problem, please make sure your dog is on a heart worm preventative medicine.  (Even if you don't have a mosquito problem, please do!)
