Halfway through the UK school hols, we have camped in the forest (raining), finished buying uniform (raining) and managed a couple of park trips (raining!).

I have done the cornflour thing, played guess who and other games, sorted out bedrooms and now feel at a loss.

What do you have planned? Mine are 5 and 6.

  1. well I'm 15, and my mother was a childminder when i was young

from that, my strongest memories were at other childrens' homes- which bring to attention that if you are struggling to find things for your children to do, other parents you know most probably are also!

why not do the whole 'round for tea' thing.

kids think its all fun and games. you don't need to clean up the mess they leave behind and you can enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine and a chat with a friend!

if not there must be a local swimming pool or bowling alley- maybe not completely suitable for young children, but definitely a strong contender!

  2. Well is there anything you need done?  Put them to work. Have them help cook.  do a craft or make something for somebody or help a neighbor or visit somebody.

go to an old age home.  old people love kids.

  3. How about doing a water day with them... let them play in the water... or take them fishing, or you could take them bowling or golfing... have you done finger painting? Side walk chalk is fun, you could make goop. Do wacky projects!

Recipe for Goop! Kids love this stuff

    2 cups white glue

    2 cups distilled water

    15-30 drops of food coloring

you could also put food coloring in it!

you could do relay races with eyes on spoons or stuff like that... hope it helps!

  7. i have a little sister 8 year old see likes trip to the park i know Ive done this there is a thing called play zone where basically kid just go on little ride around slides all in closed there cheap like £3 each person i hope this help gl.

  8. You could watch some DVDs with them, Have a picnic with them like an indoor one if its raining just lie a blanket down in one of your rooms, You could ask them what they would like to do? You could go see some family, you could cook with them.

  9. I have nothing planned.
