How can I keep people from giving me virus's on Myspace?I have Windows XP?

I am not doing anything wrong.I am just simply adding people.Nobody is able to get in.I set my profile to private.Like every 3 min I'll see that I have some kind of stupid virus.

How are you getting virus's from my space? You have to be downloading something your not supposed to,  also get a anti virus software and raise your security level for windows.

Hello M, You can keep from getting a computer virus by keeping your antivirus program up-to-date with the lates updates and run a Full System Scan at least once a week. And you have done a smart thing by keeping your profile private. Also try to advoid attachments that come attach with email, don't download or accept file sharing from someone that you don't know and you have to be very care of receiving , opening, downloading (music, photos, etc.)  from someone that you do know as most of the times it will be a  someone that you know who will send you a virus.  ( Or a computer virus in itself that make you think that it came from a friend)  Good Luck
