Question:

How can I keep spiders and other bugs off of my bed?

So, my room is cluttered, but I try to keep it clean.

Recently, my house was infested with carpenter ants. My Dad sprayed around the bottom floor of the house, so they all moved upstairs (lucky me) and, for the past few weeks, I've been constantly finding them in my bedroom...so I put down traps.

Now the ants are gone (or so I think, I haven't seen any in the past couple of days) and today a spider crawled across my bed!

"Great!" I thought, "So I finally get rid of the ants and now I'm back to having spider problems again!"

So, what works the best to keep spiders and ants away from you? I don't care if they live in my room as long as they don't bother me while I'm sleeping!

Cleaning doesn't work, I've already torn my bed apart, vaccumed under it, cleaned the sheets, etc.

It doesn't help that I have cats (who will not eat the bugs) and the tickle of cat fur feels an awful lot like bugs crawling on your skin.

Does anyone have suggestions that they KNOW work?

  1. keep ypur room clean bugs like to be in a mess

  2. Have dad spray your room.  you already know they don't speak your language so they are not going to listen to you tell them not to bother you when you are sleeping.  So get out the bug spray and let them have it.

  3. Use Raid Max. Raid Max will kill all bugs and keep them from returning over 6 months. Get Raid Max-it comes in a silver and blue can and has a thin yellow stick you can use to spray around the perimeter of the room.

I suggest you spray around the perimeter of your room and also downstairs. The Raid Max spray is pretty strong, so you may want to spray early in the morning and leave to give it time to air back out.

This will definitely work. I have used it to get rid of all manner of pests, especially ants, cockroaches and spiders!
