  1. Cool washcloth on your head and a long hot bath (in the dark).

  2. I suffer every month.  I find ice helps me.  Get some to place on the throbbing spot and sit in a dark room.  You must be cool, dark and have ice on the spot.

Is this something new for you?  If so, see your doctor!

  3. Gah, I sympathize =/ I have at least 2-3 every month (even more if it's a particularly stressful one).

I used to take two Tylenol Extra Strength pills, but those were pretty much useless. Now I'm using Advil instead, and if I take two at the moment I see an aura (or start to experience anything migraine-like) sometimes it even dulls the pain for the most part. Right after some meds, I go sleep in a dark room. If I get nauseous, and I do vomit (blech...sorry =/) I typically feel better soon.

Also, I recently was shown some pressure points for dealing with pain (I was stuck at school with no meds whatsoever...bad day. Swore like a sailor in the office, but they knew me well enough to know that it was outside of my usual nature =] ). http://ezinearticles.com/?How-to-Massage... is a good list I found once. I usually find the one between my forefinger and thumb to be the most effective. It's a bit tricky...but god, if you find it, it's amazing. It only lasts in short bursts and you should release every minute or so.

By the way, I don't suggest over-killing on the medication. When I take to much, I find that I have another migraine right after. Go see your doctor and see if they can get you one that's the right strength for you.

    Hope I helped!
