I don't care if you think these flying rats are gods creatures, I just want to know how to kill all these pigeons who c**p everywhere. And NO, there is nothing in or around my yard that is attracting them...& no neighbors.

Please somebody tell me what will kill these pigeons. And I don't give a c**p what PETA thinks about it.

These must be somebody out there that can tell me how to kill many pigeons. If I have to I will use rat poison, since they are flying rats, you will not talk me out of killing them so if nobody knows, I'll use a high powered BB Gun, and if more come to replace these, I'll just buy more pellets.

I just want to know if there is a easier way. ?

  1. Although I believe in a more humane way, I can tell you how my ex mother-in-law did it.  It requires alot of patience, but eventually they will dissipate.  The answer is to "FEED THEM!" She bought a house years ago where the previous owner fed pigeons on a daily basis and suddenly my mother in law had hundreds upon hundreds of pigeons all over her rooftop ( they can damage your property). She got this idea from an old friend of hers. Take a loaf of bread, crumble it up (not too fine) 1/4 cup of Rid-X (septic tank cleaner), mix the bread crumbs and Rid-X together and then moisten it with water, so it all sticks together. A spray bottle works to do this. Sprinkle the bread in an area of your choice and let them come down and eat. You'll notice after a couple of weeks the birds will become less and less until eventually you have none.  I feel horrible telling you this, but @ the same time with all the diseases they carry and the damage they cause, it's 50/50 for me.  In El Paso where I use to live neighbors are able to report anyone seen feeding birds and encouraging them to flock to residential areas,  because of the diseases pigeons carry, not to mention the possible diseases people can get just from coming in contact with their fecal matter. God knows, they c**p EVERYWHERE!   Hope my answer helps you with your dilemma.

  2. I would recommend using poison pellets as well as a high powered air rifle (RMS is a good manufacturer). Also if possible destroy there roost (nest)... posting an owl sometimes also deters new ones...

  3. mustard gas

  4. Mass quantities of birdshot works really well.  And you get to target practice, to boot.

After a bunch of them are killed, some of the others will decide to leave the hostile environment.

I had to do the same thing when a huge flock was residing in my barn.  It took awhile but eventually the barn was free of pigeons and their messes.   Occasionally a new family would try to move it, but it's easy to pick them off before they can multiply and invite their friends.

In Europe netting is strung across likely roosting places to discourage pigeons.  But in my opinion, birdshot is quicker and easier.

  5.   Lotsa luck!  Pellets do work --- After a while. Lotsa Pigeons out there!

  6. If you are out in the country where you can shoot a gun, a 410 shot gun, makes a loud sound and kills the bird.  Every time they show up shoot a few of them.  They will decide to leave after a few days.  If a pair comes back in a few weeks get after them the first day.

Destroy all nest and places they can build one also helps.

  7. lol a .22 rifle or light M-80s and throw them into your yard

  8. hahahaha i shot 1 pigeon with a 1000fps bb gun[break-barrel] (illegal if you don't have a gun license but i don't care they p**s me off) and the loud bang was basically all it took. also, it might have been the fact that i got a perfect headshot on one 30 feet up a tree and i was on my deck 20 feet from it and it fell i yelled victory and problem solved.
