Question:

How can I kill that bloody moth?

Some moth has been fluttering around my house for the past 12 hours and I can't seem to track it down long enough to move in for the kill. I fear it will find its way into my finest linens. Thankfully my wardrobe is safely housed in cedar armoires. Still my linens are in serious danger. Any advice?

  1. uh, turn off all the lights and light a candle.....then kill him when he heads over to the flame, he might even fly into the flame and be horribly burned to death. Also, I would suggest you man up and not use words like armoires and linens while talking about how a moth has out smarted you for 12 hours.

  2. Get a fly swatter, it's always worked for me.  Wait 'till it lands, it's easier to get it.

Moths are attracted to light...so at night, if you notice it's in one particular room, turn off the lights elsewhere...or close the door...keep the light on in that room and you'll see it.  Have your fly swatter ready.  You should be able to get it.  And if you're really desperate...turn off all the lights in the house except for one main one...particularly where you'll be able to reach the light with the fly swatter...

    Good luck

  3. Buy a cat to catch it. Better to have cat hair than have non-existent clothes, yes?

  4. you beast-catch it live and put it outside-----I don't believe you have any fine linens !

  5. Leave him alone.
