I am going to knit leg warmers out of acrylic and I don't want them to curl at the ends.

  1. yes ,i agree with the other answer . Ribbing :knit 1 purl 1 .When you work on the round you need to make sure that your work is not twisted ,it becomes noticeable after a few rounds and there is nothing you can do but unravel the whole thing and start all over again .Happy knitting!

  2. It sounds like you may be moving the yarn over your needle, but I could be wrong. Try to bring the yarn between the needles when you switch between knitting and purling. You could also do a knit 2, purl 2, or any combonation of those two stitches, just as long as you have an inch or so of ribbing at the bottom. ood luck.

  3. Try a Ribbing stitch at the bottom, where you don't want it to curl...That's Knit, Purl, Knit, Purl etc etc....stitch by stitch...alternate the Knit and Purl all way across the row, maybe an inch or two...and shouldn't curl...

UPDATE: Are you switching your wool to the different sides of he needle before doing the different stitch? For Knit, the Wool is on the other side of the needle to you; for Purl, it is on your side of the needle...
