Your makeup bag is not limited in weight.  any liquids you want to carry in your carry-on bag must be a 3 oz size or less.  you must use one 1 qt. size ziplocl bag to put these 3 oz bottles in.  you can carry any size bottles in your carry-on luggage.  See site below.

it should tell on the bottle how many ounces they are and if it doesn't have ounces and its mL, 100 mL is the limit.
