What I mean by that is, is I'm an Indian and I would like to trace back to my ancestors. How do I do that? My ancestors lived in India, not in the US, so is there any website , or any way I could trace back to them?

I just want to learn a little more about myself..

My mum's from Agra and my dad from Aligrah.

  1. It is difficult to trace your history, the dates or year; name of parents; caste; their job; photographs; the relatives; their names of grand-parents and various ways; if you have a record or a pass-port only. PLEASE CHECK-UP, IN AGRA AND ALIGARH. I AM SURE, YOU CAN FIND-OUT. MAY GOD HELP, I AM SURE.

  2. give all possible information about your family and relations, names of cities, every ones name. some one some where might find it. grand parents, uncles, sisters, any relative to get to source. but be careful in coming to final decision. there r racketeers here in India. and might cheat u.

  3. If you could find out your community or caste, it will be easier. In religious places like Haridwar there are 'pandas' (priests) they maintain account of your family members who visited and updated your family tree. You can start with your mum side or your dad side and learn about your family tree.Best wishes

  4. I would start with your family make it into a game interview your family like a journalist.

When you run out of family to interview try these sites

Good Luck and check my source for more sites
