  1. well u know im in the volleyball team of ma school and im the best spiker so this advice might affect u alot but when u spike dont swing ur arms after u actually hit the ball .the ball had to be in ur left hand if ur right handed to put all ur power into ur right hand and when u hit it hit it like ur stabbing ur bro or something its really gonna help!jus take ur anger out on the ball kk its work

    a.k.a ms preetyfullz

  2. learn a certain approach when the ball is in the air and stick with it. keep the ball in front of you. you should have the mindset of getting  your hand over the ball and snapping your wrist. remember to follow through with your arm on a hard spike. dont just keep your arm still after you made contact with the ball. if you hit 4's like i do, back up out of the court lines when the setter sets the ball and approach at an angle to hit the far corner. theres really no straight up rules on how you should do it. just experiment.

  3. try the left right left thing. It really works and if your tall try to stand away from the net so you can have alot of room so you don not hit the net and jump high and swing hard<3

  4. The most comen problem people face when it comes to things like this is overall coordination, as you probably know spiking a ball is a fairly complicated movement requiring many muscle groups working together. I suggest finding someone who knows what they are doing and get them to break down the movements for you one at a time,  then you can practise each part individually slowly with small amounts of power at first then faster and faster with gradually more and more power, until you and your body know exactly what to do. Things like this take time so be patient and work hard.

  5. send time with one of your top spikers and ask them if they can help you!!!

  6. jump high enough to be able to hit the ball and dont worry about hitting the girls plus the only thing dat should be going through ur mind is to make a solid hit over the net

  7. On the side of your house or a large brick wall.

  8. To begin with, try and isolate where you are having the problem e.g. is it your approach or is it your hitting technique and focus on getting that right.

There's lots of good content on the net that will give you more in depth info that will help you improve. Two sites spring to mind in particular.

Winnning volleyball skills provides free tips on volleyball skills etc and Volleyball Locker Room have just launched video drills and coaching  site dedicated to volleyball skills development.

    Hope this helps.

  9. There are a number of ways to correct hitting, but it basically boils down to practice.  Here are a few of my pointers:

1.) Footwork: know your approach, practice your approach

A lot of times, people have poor timing or poor hitting technique because they have bad footwork.  Try doing approaches at the net without hitting for a little bit, it's a good warm-up and workout and you work on your fundamentals.  This way, once you're ready to hit, you have the footwork down as kind of an unconscious thing

2.) Focus: think about what you're doing, not what will happen

I don't know that I need to explain this too much, but basically, what you want to focus on are the things you're supposed to do for hitting.  This way, it helps you get your timing into a rhythm and you make sure you're fundamentally sound in form and all that every time.

3.) Feel: get to know how hitting the ball properly feels like

Usually I like to start with having someone just toss the ball right over the night and hitting it without an approach, like it's a free ball or something.  Then you can start adding approaches as you get more and more comfortable at the net.

I hope this helped you.  Email me if you have more questions.

  10. go to a volleyball camp or ask for extra help from an experinced player or a coach

  11. When you are in the hitting line just wait until the ball is at its peak and go as fast as you can with control in approaching the ball. This will allow you to just as high as possible and then you can hit the ball where you want. Don't worry about hitting the other girls as they are probably hitting the ball all over the place too. Eventually you will learn how to hit down the line but not until you can hit consistently. When you are practicing by yourself do you hit against a wall or in a handball court? This is a great way to get your armswing consistently in the same place and you can also practice snapping your wrist. If this isn't how you are being taught talk to your coach about it and I am sure they will help you.

Another way to go is to play club volleyball, this will give you extra practice.

  12. Make sure you snap your wrist and also make sure the toss is in front of you. Also make sure you have a good approach. A routine helps me get it over a lot too.
