How can I learn to focus?

I mean, how can I learn to focus in school?

Focus while you are *in* school? Always eat a balanced breakfast, drink coffee but eat less sweets, go to bed before 12 o'clock. Drink more water, eat more fruit and vegetables.

But if you problems are bigger than that...

School is treated like its one-size-fits-all, but some people are just not conductive to learning in a school setting. There are many variants that impact your learning, and many of them are things you can't do anything about. But what you can do is instill disciple in yourself. Realize there is a time to play, but also a time to be serious, and focusing is part of that restrain you need to impose on yourself.  It's not fun and it's not easy, but this is something you have to do while you're young because it is going to be so important in the future.

If you can't focus at school, you must focus at home. Choose an environment that is conductive to your learning.

For me, I have to isolate myself in a library cubicle, with absolutely no distractions, and for several hours I am able to study or do whatever I need to do. It is a bit much to go to the library everytime but for me that is really the only way I can focus.

You also need to be more organized. Making use of an agenda automates your life, and when you have a routine you will see that it is much easier to get things done. A wandering mind needs discipline.

Youu probably work better (or just plain work at all) under pressure, so if you have deadlines, write that the due date for things is actually a week earlier than it is, especially if you are given a very long time to complete something. This way, you won't do things at the last minute and compromise your work.

remove all distractions from your room. if you don't trust yourself to be committed then lock up your distractions and give the key to someone else.
