  1. You can learn it from books...and lots of practice...ask for advice at a knitting store...

  2. I learned crochet using a book I bought at wal mart "I taught myself to crochet"  Next Im going to "teach myself to knit"

  3. I learned how to knit from a Klutz kids kit.  It has everything you need to get started and was really easy to use.  You can buy them online here: http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/B... (you can get it at Amazon, too, but this is the best price I've seen).  I think Jo-anns and Michaels usually carry them, too.

If you already have knitting needles and yarn, you can try: http://www.knittinghelp.com/  Learn how to cast on first (I suggest long-tail cast on...it's the easiest).  Then learn the knit stitch and once you've got that down, learn purl.

  4. i learned to knit when my mom checked me out some books from the library. That and her helping me, i crocheted a hat and knitted a little washcloth.

try asking some older person or anyone who knows to knit

  5. You can learn from a website called knittinghelp.com.  They have short videos you can watch and replay to help you learn.

  6. Youtube has a lot of videos you could watch to teach yourself. You start with "Casting On" And then do the basic knit stitch. Just go to Youtube and watch the knitting videos and I'm sure you'll pick it up in no time. There are enough of them that even if how one person shows you doesn't make sense you can find someone who does
