I'm in 7th and am great at all the subjects that I love. I am doing poorly in math already, and I want to learn to love math. I figure if I love it I'll do better. Please give me good thorough answers. Please no mean comments.

  1. Try thinking of it as money. When you get older you want to understand how to control your money, right? Think of what type of business you may want to start in the future. Compare it to math. What type of math, will you have to understand in your business.

  2. Math was used to built some of the worlds greatest architecture. Read about the roman aqueducts: http://www.inforoma.it/feature.php?looku... That might get you interested.

  3. When you think about it practically everything used math..  Know how important it is as a life skill you will need....and try relating it to soemthing you love, like sports stats, figuring prices while shopping, that sort of thing.....turn everything you hate into some kind of mental game and it becomes easier....good luck!  I had to do this with science!

  4. Think Math as Games. they are logic games, actually.

    With practical use, of course.

Try to figure the formulas out instead of memorize them.

If you must memorize them, at least try to figure them out first.

It is hard at beginning, but it will get easier and easier later.

I still remember how excited I was, when I first figure out formulas myself. And I was in love with Math since.

  5. Try practicing more questions on a topic just taught, ask from a teacher or friend if u don't understand, spend less time on games T.v...

  6. Not an easy question. It is a matter of changing your attitude. Think of Mathematics as a powerful tool, which it is. It is a major tool to solve problems. Also, the better you get at it, the more you understand it, the more you will like it

A tutuor  can help have fun with the poblems pewtend you r JAMES BOND and you must and the fate of the world depeds on your answer.

It all comes down to the roots. What i mean is that once you know the basics mathematics, you will learn new things which build up on these skills, and once you get the hang of everything, you will love it. As with most things, the key to excelling at mathematics is practice!

I love being able to find a HUGE equation and make it itsy bitsy and all nice and neat. Being able to understand and do the questions is also great. I find it is good when you find real life applications of mathematics. Also some things are really interesting, like fractals. They are so beautiful and yet they are made through iterating a simple function. If you are interested I suggest you do a littl research into them.

Maths is time consuming but it is so... Everywhere. Find where it comes into real life and you'll really find how it is everywhere you turn.

Good luck and I wish you well.

. Good Luck to you! ;)

  7. i used to have the same problem.

try to make it interesting by changing the questions up a bit.

instead of "a train traveling at 23mph.:

change it to "a giraffe wadalling at 23mph."

that is what i used to do in elementary school.

    and it worked! XD

  8. Math is subject that you need to know the basics before you can go on and do more things in it. You need to practice your addition, subtraction, and multiplication, and division. I know those can be very boring but they are the building blocks. Once you get fast at doing them, the rest of math will come easier. I would get some math learning games for the computer. Math has a lot of rules too that you need to memorize.
