I don't use cuss words a lot and I NEVER use the F word but I would like to retrain myself to not use those words at all. You all know what words I am talking about, Any suggestions?

  1. Ok...this is the oddest question asked all night..

  2. Wear a rubber band around your wrist. When you cuss, snap it. Same can go for dirty thoughts too. It's worked for people I know.

  3. hang out with ppl who dont cuss ever and pretty soon you will too...Just make sure that you actually like those ppl becuz then it will matter more to you if you care what they think about you...

  4. There isn't a simple answers to this, as it takes a lot of practice and self-restraint to remove such words from your active vocabulary.  I suggest you start out by catching yourself saying such words and changing the final consonant (example: change sh*t to ship, and cr*p to crab). Eventually, you'll find yourself replacing bad language with clean words.

  5. Just make it your goal and priority,

I think it's really good that you hardly ever cuss and it's even better that you don't want to cuss at all. There aren't many people in this world that don't want to use foul language so i think you should be proud of yourself and your goal.

Always remind yourself of your goal and also try not to hang aorund with people who do use bad language, on account of it will only influence you to do the same as them.

well, hopefully you stay with your goal. good luck. :)

  6. Since you're already not saying them at all, I can only say, "Keep up the good work."

  7. Pretend your mother is listening to everything you say.

  8. Try not to hang out with people who cuss--the more you hear it, the more you'll use it.  Instead, place yourself around people you would be uncomfortable swearing around.  (Older acquaintances? Church members?)

Choose alternate words.  They can be the usual standbys (shoot for sh*t, for example), or something completely random.  Try to catch the cuss word before it comes out and switch it, but if the swear escapes first, say the alternate word a couple of times right after, to set it in your mind.

Keep a "swear jar"--put a quarter in it for each time you swear, and give that money a specific long-term destination.  Whether it's saving for the family vacation or a little extra for the church plate, you'll miss not having that money immediately there.

Find ways to reduce stress and relax, and learn to laugh at yourself!  If the opportunity to swear doesn't present itself, then there's less chance that you'll cuss!

It's just like learning a foreign language--it takes practice.  Just keep at it, and don't give up!!

  9. Wow so noble , trying to set for the better .

    One plain and simple solution

Ever heard of self control and what do you hate most like a grasshopper of an ant?

So if you feel like saying the F word just think

" if i say F.U.C.K  I will become an idiot or I will become an ant "

    Hope this helped

    Your sincerely ,
