I want to have something to do after school and the keyboard is something I always wanted to do, I have also always wanted to play an instrument of some sort.

I don't have my keyboard yet, I asked my mom to get me one for Christmas and she agreed. So I should have one by then.

For the record I have never played a musical instrument but I have a friend who plays the piano and she takes classes, so she can help me out. I can not take classes because I have no way of getting to them, and I can't afford to take them.

  1. this is what i'm taking: alfred's piano courses. google it. you can buy it at your local music store or at amazon or something. :]

there's only 3 levels to the courses, and pretty much all the info beginners need. if you're like me, and better off learning yourself than with an instructor [i kinda get pressure lol] then these courses are perfect for you. :]

  2. I play the piano, and have lessons but there is many books available in music shops or over the internet. You could get music book that has a beiginers step by step guide. Thats how im learin the sax :)

  3. There are books that teach how to play piano, each one usually claiming to be able to teach you in "10 easy steps" or things of the like. When you get your piano, visit your local friendly public library and ask the librarian for a few books on the subject, try them all out to see which one you can learn from best.

  4. There are a lot of online classes on youtube and other websites that you can take for free.
