How can I learn to sing without taking lessons? Thanks?

So I can learn at home.

If you're doing it just for fun - then listen to your favourite songs, record yourself and listen to the recording

If you want to take it more seriously, you definitely need lessons, there are some techniques that you won't be able to do on your own and you need a vocal coach, just like a teacher in school

Its best for you too get a few lessons.

Even if its just one of two to get you on the right track.

However, after that or completely instead you can purchase "learn to sing" books and cds.

I'm not sure how good they are but I'm sure they'll give you a basic knowledge.

it's best to have lessons, as with any musical instrument -

have you learnt to read music yet? it all needs explaining

Anyone can sing..

the only thing thats a gift is the tone of your voice.. thats natural you cannot change it.

But, my advice..

practise lots & Join groups that do singing at school or a out of school productions. Its rather easy to get into

If you really want to learn to sing - well - you are going to have to face the fact that you will need lessons.

Go on youtube. That's at home. :P You have to take lessons uless your some freaky experiment who can do anything.

just practice everyday in the shower, in the house, in your room, karaoke etc and try and learn music off the internet or something.

obviously it would be better to take lessons but this is what i do ant it works for me.

Everyone can sing. Some just need more practice then others. What helps me a lot is studying the singers voice and trying to copy it. Pick a song, and listen to it carefully and listen to how the singer sings and then you try it. All you have to do is sing a little bit a day and trust me you get better :) practice makes perfect.
