I would recommend getting a different type of bag other than draw string if you intend on locking it. Otherwise, you might severly mutilate the draw string bag in an attempt to secure it.

There is a type of mesh lock that is made to go around backpacks.  However, someone can still remove small items from the bag.  It prevents removing larger items (ie laptops), and perhaps makes it just a little more difficult for a thief to get into so perhaps they will choose another bag to pilfer.
