the dress code at my school is pretty strict. no sleeves higher than elbows, all bottoms must hit the knee or lower, no jeans, bottoms can only be black navy or tan, and all shirts must be collared. no prints. no chunky jewelry. no hoodies. HELP!

  1. Follow the dress code..

  2. d**n, that sucks. well, here's my advice:

    1. buy some cute headbands! solids, satin, leather, ones with bows, black, white, metallic, green, whatever floats your boat. wear them with your hair down for an innocent look or as i prefer, hair up for an edgier style. but, darling, headbands are a must here. http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?cat...

    2. flats and mary janes! i'm sure your school can let you wear these and cute shoes help!

    3. idea! layer your clothes. how about a collared long sleeve shirt with a vest over it? http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?cat...

    4. i'm thinking a pencil skirt! that would look great. and it's a classic.

    5. sensible jewelry. pearl or diamond studs, a creative watch, studded hair clip, pendant, antique ring, or other simple jewelry will do.

    6. a belt can help an outfit if you wear it right. belt it at the waist or hips!

    7. make up for the lame dress code with a killer hairstyle! change it up, you know curl it one day and the next day straighten it. make sure to protect it from damage though! you can always create a stress free hairstyle with a simple ponytail and headband or the classic braid!

    8. layer your clothing. perhaps you want to wear a cute collared shirt but it doesn't reach your elbows? solve this problem by wearing a long-sleeved T under it, preferably V-neck so the collar doesn't show. but surely they won't be upset if you're wearing some sort of collared shirt! gotta bend the rules.

    9. carry a super-cute patent leather handbag. i find that having an awesome bag can make up for a lot of things.

    10. let your personality shine! if you have confidence, you'll be able to wear these better. and this dress code gives you an opportunity to let your personality sparkle and for brains to finally come before beauty!

  3. oh d**n. private school? i know how you feel. your dress code is alot more chill. i have have to wear school polos from freaking lands end. :< it realllly sucks.

um just accessorize well and math up your colors. like if you wear a turquoise polo with um navy, you could wear like silver/white, yellow, or orange jewelery to go with it. get it?

    just accessorize

take care of your facial skin

wear some lip gloss and mascara or whatever makeup your wear

and do something cute with your hair.

    :)

i wonder if chucnky jewelery means like big bracelets too. because that' g*y if it does.

if you want cheap stuff, go to claires for jewelery.

don't forget headbands and hair clips! :)

  4. I would never go to that school, heehee.

But wow, umm try anchor blue or wet seal or jc pennies.

  5. Your putting me up to quite a challenge here...I like a challenge.

I would say keep it simple, withing in the code and your style.

First...what about headbands? Are those allowed? Getting headbands in a nice color could be good then...see what they have against that, whether they can have prints...

Maybe a simple bracelet/necklace/earrings...something like that...

Also a nice but simple pair of shoes maybe?

Don't be afaraid to work with your hair, make up, see what you think makes you look good...

Sorry I can really only give you geberal ideas here but I don't know what your ideal style is like...but this is all I have to offer. Good luck :)

Oh forgot, but make sure the clothing also flatters your figure :) nothing worse looking than clothes that don't :)

Oh sudden idea! See what you can to with belts...

if I get anymore ideas I'll put them down...which I might...

  6. wow:(

  8. try getting some like kahki skinny bottoms. so they aren't jeans but they are still cute..um....get a bunch of those button down shirts with the collars...you can get plain colored ones. try ae. hollister. all of those. you could get those shirts with a built in sweater over them from Forever 21. 9. Wash and dry.  Iron.  Wear clothing that fits.  You will look good.

  10. omg thats like the stictest dress code i've ever heard of!  but just think though, everyone else will look ugly too :) haha, jks, i'm sure you'll pull it off fine :)   just get a shirt in your favorite color, that goes by the dress code (long sleeves and collar)  maybe get a nice fitted one, with some black denim capris :) a lot of people wear those at my school and the dress code isn't even that strict.
