How can I look up someones license plate?

A woman followed me crazily today after my car stalled and said she had my plate and for me to have fun with my tax audit. I took down her plate just in case she really had it. One, can she really do anything with my plate and two how can I look her plate up to protect myself.

She's just being a crazy old b*tch.  Call the cops and give them her plate if you're worried, otherwise forget it, she was just talking sh*t can't do sh*t.

You cant, its called the "privacy act" and its there for you protection as well.

Legally you can't,  but I know a person that once did with the help a dishonest state D.M.V. employee. If a person has the right connections they can get almost anything done.

You can't. Look at it this way - let's say the guy you cut off on the highway today could take your license plate number and look it up somewhere and find out your name and where you live? What if he decides to be waiting for you some night in your driveway for you to come home? See what I mean. That information is only available to agencies with an official need to know that information.
