How can I lose 20 lbs and 5 inches off of my waist?

By December I want to be 20 lbs lighter and have my waist at least 5 inches slimmer. What is an easy and effective way to do this?

  1. You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

  3. Don't eat junk food or drink anything sugary like juice/soda.

    If you crave something sweet, fruit should get rid of the craving.

    Replace a big meal with a bowl of soup. (They're usually low cal.)

    Eat more veggies and whole grains.

    Switch to low fat milk.

    Exercise a lot.

    Burning more calories than you take in will make you lose weight.

  5. Stop!!! before you do anything know this: There is NO easy way(other than surgery which is wasteful money). I say you need to find a work out that really gets you sweating that you are willing to do. Also cut back on what you eat which at first will be very hard but if you train yourself to eat until you are satisfied-not full but satisfied-you can watch the weight melt. I suggest you do not look at it as a whole but look at it from day to day, meal to meal, jog to jog. make it a part of your routine. If you can't make it part of your routine and you know you can't, sign a contract with a friend saying that you will try to lose weight and your friend will try to stick to his or her goal. Make a plan and stick to it. the only time you look ahead is when you picture yourself in December. Ask yourself how bad you want to look thin and imagine the self satisfaction of achieving a goal 65% of Americans can't. Good luck and get started.

    *one last thing*If you can't stop yourself from eating, eat fruits and vegetables(but still exercise). You can eat a gigantic 3 pound bowl of vegetables and not gain an ounce. Lay off the fast food completely. Except maybe subway
