How can I lose 20 pounds? help!?

im 14 years old and im 5'3. Ive always said i was going to try and lose weight but i never actually started. But after going to a boy/girl swimming party im determined. I can never really have breakfast in the morning and Im wondering how I can lose atleast 20 pounds. If anyone has a meal plan that would be amazing. Any tips would be great to!

  1. drink a glass of milk for breakfast...go play sports,get a dog and take it for walks often...dance and learn martial arts...

  4. first of all,you should try to eat something for breakfast even if its  a small snack,the body needs food to burn fat n caleries,if you skip meals then the body stores what you do eat as fat,,not good.i'm 4'9 and 40 years old..yeah i'm short.but i learned that if you have 5 small meals a day and stay away from soda, foods high in carbs you can drop 10 lbs every other week. but you must drink water lotz of water.if i can do it you can do it.also fresh veggies like salades n fruit salades are a great way to get protiens n vitimins you need while dieting..hope this helps.

    If you truly are 20 pounds over weight then here is some advice for you.

    The smartest thing to do is go to the library and get some books on healthy eating.

    Is there anyone who will be able to support you, mom, dad, sister..?  

    You need a parent to serve healthy meals -- fast food is easy, but not healthy.  Cakes, cookies and chips should be kept out of the house.  

    For starters, eat breakfast!  I don't care what you need to do, just eat something.  I recently found these health bars that are very tasty, they are called LUNA bars.  Get the ones that have a lot of protein and vitamins.  If you cant eat a good breakfast, at least eat one of those with a glass of milk.

    Don't skimp on Lunch either.  Lunch is very important.  Pack a healthy sandwich, use whole grain breads, fruit, veggie and drink - water is best. Stay away from fruit juices, they claim to be healthy, but are loaded with sugar.

    Go light on dinner.  If you eat a big dinner, you never have a chance to burn off any of those calories and they get stored in your body as fat.

    Try to make it a rule not to eat after 8:00 p.m. if you have to have something, make it celery or carrot sticks.

    You probably know to stay away from cookies, cakes, chips, pretzels and foods high in fat, sugar and empty carbs.

    Start reading labels, some foods say they are healthy, but once you read the label you find high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils (both very bad for you)

    Dont forget to get atleast 45 minutes of activity a day.  Try going for a bike ride, rollerblading, even walking

    at a fast pace.  This is not only good for weight loss, but good for your heart!

    Be sure to get plenty of sleep too,  at your age you need plenty of rest!

  6. Do the south beach diet , is easy , but do the first phase for one month, exercise with one hour cardio, one hour weights , abs very important 250-300 rep. every day , no sugar at all , no breads. there is a book read it !
