Does having my thighs toned mean they get like muscle.

I dont want the fat on my thigh to turn into muscle.

I just want to have a skinny belly and skinny thighs.

Plz be specific on wat kind of things to eat, and on workouts and exercises.

I walk about 2 miles everyday, I jog a mile twice a week, and i do a lot of stretches and pushups twice a week.

I think I eat too much. And like i get hungry when i am bored, so i'm usually looking for some snack to eat. And I try not to.

I think I have a problem. Plz help!

  1. There is no such thing as spot reducing, so if you're overweight in general, you may, if not most likely, will have to lose weight while mixing in the appropriate amount of cardio [I suggest running if you're trying to shed the fat on your belly and thighs; walking just doesn't cut it, at least from past experiences] and having the right foods. Avoid junk food, fattening foods and keep your calorie count reasonable. Be patient, look up various exercises for your thighs and stomach [google, "thigh workouts" or abdominal workouts, and you'll get plenty of results]. Situps are great for the stomach, and there are plenty of crunches you may attempt.

Being patient is important, remember. Things will happen with time, don't get upset if you don't notice immediate changes!

  2. Well, the hard part is you can't really lose weight in one area.

If you don't want to bulk up, but you want to be skinner.  Then running is a good idea.  And stretching A LOT.   Maybe start adding some weight lifting.  I learned a while back that doing more reps with less weight will give you lean muscle.  (which is more or less what your going for)

Also do you have a YMCA around you?  Maybe sign up for one of there cardio classes, or dance classes.    Those are a really good way to slim down (and it doesn't "feel" like your working out more).

As for eating, don't cut your calories to much.  Just eat healthy.  Buy LOTS of gum....or sun flower seeds.   I like to snack when I'm bored too, and those help.  The gum keeps your mouth moving, and flavor.   Or sun flower seeds, because it takes an hour to eat a handful lol.

If you get gum and it has some calories in it, don't worry about it.  Honestly the human body burns more calories just being alive than we give it credit for.

    Good luck!

  3. I would DEF. suggest stretching before AND after every workout. If you're hungry I would suggest eating more protein like chicken, peanut butter, and nuts. If you think you eat too much or if you get hungry, occupy your time with something else. Drink more water or walk around outside if you feel hungry. Just make sure you don't starve yourself or binge when you get home. I also find that chewing slowly helps out a lot and having a piece of whole grain bread or rice will spread in your stomach and so you don't eat as much. I have the same sort of problem, but I hope this helps.

  4. you cant lose fat in a specific area, and two miles doesnt do **** for weight loss, that would burn a small coke off.  you burn around 80 to 100 calories per mile.  and you need to burn 3500 calories to lose a pound so every 35 miles you walk you will lose a pound so long as you do not eat it back by compensating. fat cant turn into muscle either, muscle grows, and it doesnt do it by opening its mouth and eating the fat
