What is the recipe for authentic Chinese hot oil?

  1. to make chili oil use whatever kind of oil you like best. olive, peanut, corn, sesame. they all work. add the amount of oil you'd like to make to a sauce pan and then add dried chiles or even crushed red pepper. add a large amount of the chile. heat til the oil takes on a nice red color and take it off the heat. let stand for 20-30 minutes and strain through a china cap or some cheese cloth. there you go. note, that the stronger the flavor of the oil you use, the stronger the flavor of your prepared chili oil will be.

    Now you knew some smart *** would do it, so i figured let me be the one.  

    Oh, sorry, the Chinese have many many different types of oil, depending on which type your trying to make?  They have Peanut oil, Olive oil, all kinds.  So you need to be specific?

  3. chili sauce (get in ketchup ailse) + oil
