I have two stereo speakers. How can I connect them to my PC (which has a surround sound card). Where do I connect it to? There are several different colured jacks at the back. THanks

  1. the term 'surround sound' is thrown around so loosely today it bothers me.  You will never truly accomplish 'surround sound' unless you have speakers surrounding you, or if you have a perfectly acoustic THX certified room.  if you are just using two speakers, you best option is to set it to a stereo setting so that you get the most out of those speakers.

  2. The green one usually is the front two speakers. as far as the surround sound you have to set it up under windows (set it up to stereo) sometimes your sound card/ motherboard built in sound solution will have virtual surround mode such as SRS which make believe surround sound. But if you want real surround sound go for 5.1 speakers. There are some good ones from Creative.com or Logitech.com
