How can I make a VERY scary Halloween party?

I know Halloween is like a two months away, but I really need to start planning. How can I do a very scary haunted house and party for teenagers who are looking forward to getting scared? Please help, websites would be good too.

Use your imagination, do things that would scare the pee out of you. Since you got teens coming, have some help you come up with ideas and help get it prepped up (not too many teens involved tho, you need an elimate of surprise). Check out Spookyblue.com and Hauntworld.com for some ideas. We are having a party this year as well. Filling the yard with tombstones and featuring a coffin my 7 year old will lay in and scare the pee out of our guests on their way in. Our menu will be foods like Mummy Heads (rice crispy treats wrapped in gauze, cranberry for the eyes), mummy hot dogs (pigs in a blanket but only the "head" peeks out). For food ideas, google halloween foods and you should get tons of resources.

I still remember this one, from my childhood...scared the c**p out of me!

It was in a haunted house.  They had one patient (teenage boy) strapped to a fake bed.  There was a hole where one of his knees was and his lower leg was actually dangling safely down, but hidden by the sheets drapped over the bed.  They had also cut his jeans ragged and short on that one leg.

A knuckle bone (leg bone of a cow) was stuck into the end of his cut off jeans.

The mad scientist doctor had a number of "instruments" on the table next to him.  A hatchet, saw, drill, plyers, ect.  The "doctor" was laughing gleefully and trying out the different instruments on the bone.

Both the teens were good actors, and really hamming it up.  I was 12 years old....still remember the fright it gave me!

i  know a way to scare everyone. When they come to the door give them there candy naked. Just buck naked and act like nothing is wrong and act like you have a mental illness and you will scare the **** out of them.

Instead of liek having a haunted house you and ur friends should be having a good time, just partying. And all of a sudden the power shuts down and y here a scream from...idk outside. Everybody runs outside and one by one people start freaking more out. Have a smoke machine outside and when evybody is thouroughly freaked people w/ chansaws and people dressed up are coming closr and closer, unitl HAHAHA/////Get family and volunteers to cut off the lighst and dress up=]]]]hope it helps

i think you should get some people to dress up really good and to just scare the h**l out of them, get the strobe light and the scary sounds cd. go to party city im pretty sure they've thought of everything.

umm well u will need a lott of spider webs...they aren't that expensive like 2 bucks at party city....I think.... Umm just use most of that..... Umm get some props at least and get family members all dressed up... A good idea is to get a picture of the girl from the grudge ( like life size ) and use a strobe light to make it seem like she is walking towRds you :) umm get a coffin and have it on top of a table... Make a whom into the table and have a skeleton pop out from the hole :)

Do u have a dog... Well if it barks alot, dress him or her in a cute costume so they think the placewont be as scary as they hoped... Tie em in the front yard were he can't reach the people ( ha u probably don't have a dog)

dress up as scream, buy a voice changer so you can sound like him, learn as many names as you can and what they look like so you can walk up to them and say their name with a fake bloody knife in your hand dressed as scream and sounding like scream.

Well i can write you a whole book about this but like... i get most of my ideas from youtube. looks stuff up.. it helped me lots!

~If you gonna do a haunted house...have a theme to it. dont mix stuff together. then it comes out really bad. remember less is more so dont worry about decorating everything. have lots of volunteers (depending on how big the haunted house is). takes lots of time and hard work. I start planing my home haunt in June. so dont worry. is better to be prepared. start building stuff in october. lil stuff like crazy string can scare them really good. or even fishing line hanging from the cealing. make curtains to block their few of whats ahead...waiting around the corner. Have eerie music..not scream after scream..remember less is more. :D

~Party-have fun music to dance. play 2 different cds at the same time. one is the fun music and the other a scary sounds cd.. turns out pretty cool when they are mixed. Have punch with ice hands (red food coloring) in there and stuff like that. have games as, best costume, best scream, best dancer, etc.

  when i was younger we made a body lying on a table. We put a long sleeve shirt and tore a hole where the heart went and placed a heart bought at a meat market in a bowl, then in the stomach area put intestines, also from meat market. Put a styrofoam head and deepen eye sockets and put in olives with pimentoes and a beef tongue where the mouth is. then use catsup al blood in different areas. Put some pants and stuff. Have fun.

Ok, (cracks hands) First go to Menard's and get flat Styrofoam. It's about 5 bucks a huge sheet. Now use an Exact-o to cut graves stones that are a little smaller then life size. Don't worry if your cutting is bad because you will spray paint them and the paint will eat away at the Styrofoam hiding all the mistakes and sharp edges.

Use gray and green paint and use black for the RIP.

5 bucks will get you about four or five graves stones if you cut them right.

NOW... how do you keep them in the ground you ask? Here is the pure genius of it. (thought this up my self) Take shishcabob sticks and push them half way up the bottom of the tomestones. Use about three Shishkabob sticks per headstone. Left side, Middle, Right side.

Now push them into the ground and your head stones will NEVER blow away. Trust me, I did this on a windy year in Minnesota and NOTHING could move them.

OK your graveyard is complete. Now you need lighting. Take three reading lamps and put different color lights in them. usually red and green work good. Hook all three lights up to a power strip and place the lamps so that the light shines on the grave stones giving them an eerie light. Try to hide the lights from obvious view by putting them behind other stuff so people don't see the lights just the eerie glow.

Well, that should get you started.
