I had my wisdom teeth taken out last Friday and there is still a HUGE bruise on the side of my face.....we're getting family pictures taken on Saturday, and I'm in a panic. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this bruise (or at least diminish it) in the next day or two? Please don't say "make-up".....obviously that's the first thing I've tried and the bruise is too dark to be covered up like that. Please help....I'm desperate =(

  1. i know you said youve tried make up but have you tried a green concealer with foundation over the top? the no7 range at Boots do a good concealer

  2. Apply a leech to it.  That is the only means medically to reduce a bruise. They're carried at some pharmacies, especially hospital pharmacies that use them in surgery where limbs are reattached. Other than that you'd have to go looking in the closest swamp.

  3. you can try warm compresses several times a day to help your body reabsorb the blood in the tissues.  not as affective, perhaps, as the leech, but noone will look at you strangely.  By the way, the leech is for real and has saved many reattached limbs and digits.

  4. Baby oil. My sister had a huge bruise on her arm right before her First Communion. If you rub baby oil on it a few times a day (with a cotton ball or something) it should go away faster. Its the minerals that are in the oil I think. Hope it helps!
