How can I make a cheap door look good?

Okay Im pretty poor and I have a cheap hollow door to my room.Is there a way I could make it look better?Im a guy so nothing girly.Also Im not going to put posters on it.I want it to look "fancy".

You can use a dark color paint and paint molding onto the door-you can get small amount of paint in those little samples that Sherwin Williams sells. Using two contrasting colors can make it look like it has shadows. Using masking tape will keep your lines straight. Or you can buy some cheap molding and tack it on about 5 inches from each edge, then find a wallpaper that you really like and paper inside the molding. They have wallpaper that looks like the sky. Sometimes the wallpaper stores have damaged rolls that they will sell you for a dollar or two. You could also put a mirror on the door and then wallpaper a border around the edge of it. Borders come in very elegant styles and can be cheap if they are discontinued.This will make the door look good and let you see how good you look. Or you just might wallpaper the whole door with a paper that you really like. The key to a good job is always prep, make sure it is smooth before you start. Use your imagination and do something that will invite questions or make people wonder what you were thinking. Just be creative and enjoy. Good luck.
