How can I make a double major?

I applied to this school and at the moment of the application it didnt have the option to chose double major, it only asked me for one. I have to register for classes when I get there (if I ever do), and I'll have to meet with someone from the departament of the *coughs*awful*coluhs* major that I chose. Umm, do I have to tell them there that I want a double major or something? I like a lot of things and it's hard from me to chose science only or arts only, however, I applied for a science major and plan to go for it, but I dont wanna be stucked in only one thing. I can handle the extra studying and stuff that comes with making 2 careers at once.

Another thing... how's financial aid on that? will they charge me for each major or what?

BTW, why are universities so complicated? I'm not 20 yet and this school has made have my first wrinkles *drama*

  1. Well, when you talk talk to your adviser or whoever it may be, let them know that you plan a double major, and they can let you know what classes you should be taking to fulfill the requirements for both. You can also change your major whenever you want, so it's not like you're "stuck" with one thing for the span of your college career.

As for financial aid, that depends on how many individual classes/credits you're taking. If you double major, it would be more credits than normal, but I don't think that government aid takes that into consideration. Scholarships from the school usually have restrictions as well to how many credits are limited in the money that they give you.

Just make sure you talk to someone before you register for classes so you know exactly what you should be taking. Even so, you can always change your schedule around later.

Hope I helped and best of luck!
