How can I make a game spinner?

Question

I want to make a spinner for a Christmas present. You know, like one from a board game that tells you how many spaces to move or what to do. Except that instead of going with a game, it'll be a decision maker, since my boyfriend is terribly indecisive. Does that make sense?

PS: Please try to make it simple. I can't use wood, or anything like that. Thanks.

A decently stocked school supply store (one that caters to teachers) should have the spinners you seek. It's a pointer with a spindle. You make the surface on which it spins out of poster board. Another option is the buy the spinner for Trivial Pursuit Junior Edition from the hasbro.com web site. Draw you own wheel on the cardboard and then assemble the spinner. Making you own boardgames is fun. I do it all the time.

Koplow Games makes specialty dice. You can probably find a "yes-no-maybe" die at a game store that sells its dice.

Cut out a square or circle and draw on the decisions. Next cut out an arrow or pointer.  Then put a paper fastener in the end of the pointer and connect it to the center of the decision paper.  Don't make it too tight or it won't spin.  Hope this helps.
