How can I make a homemade KISS costume?

For all four members, please. I can understand how to do the make-up, but I'm lost as to how to do the clothing.

From what I've seen online. It looks as if all you really need to start with for all 4 band members, is a black body suit, and a Bedazzler. The rest is mainly foam padding. You can add platform boots and embellish them with mylar (emergency blankets available at sporting goods shops and camping departments of places such as WalMart and Target. They are about $2-5 dollars and 1 blanket should be enough to cut up and embellish all 4 costumes.) Pet stores or pet supply sections of 99 Cents Only or Big Lots stores should be able to supply you with studded collars and other accessories.

For the shoes... If you don't want to invest in a pair of boots that you will only use once..  Perhaps glue the bottom of a pair of black beach socks (Securely) to a block of wood and embellish that, and wear them with a pair of decorated black tube socks. Be sure to practice walking in them, to be safe. You could also sew boot covers as they show in the link. To make them slip-proof, stick bathtub appliques to the bottom.

If you can't find a black body suit, tights and a leotard should work. Also, for anything you can't find in black... Get a box or bottle of Rit Dye.
