There's no way to get it approved faster.  You wait your turn just like everybody else.

My wife and I are applying for a K-3 visa, the wait is tough..

There's no method or procedure you can do to have a faster approval of K-1 visa. Mine got approved in 7 months.Some got approved ahead of me and some got it later though we all share the same timeline. It's all in the hands of the Service Center where it will be processed. They don't entertain follow-ups or any walk-in inquiry.The best you can do is make sure that you included in your petition papers all the required documents/proofs, all the required forms filled out and signed, write the correct amount of fee and payee and lastly, check and recheck everything before you send it in.Otherwise, the USCIS will send you an RFE (Requires Further Evidence) for any lacking documents and that could delay the process of your petition.
