How can I make an online magazine cover?

There's this 2 really cool online magazines http://stylemagazine.wordpress.com/ and envymagazine.wordpress.com/

I want to know how to make a magazine cover like their's-OR BETTER!I really don't know that much about graphics so,i need step by step directions!!Please help!!!

If you don't know much about graphics and want to make a mag cover like that, you need to find someone who DOES know about graphics!

This really isn't the kind of thing you can do with a 1-2-3 instruction manual. You need to know how to work programs like Photoshop or Fireworks. The cover you envy isn't the greatest, but they did a good job and it's clear that a lot of work went into it.

I'd suggest sitting with your graphics-smart friend and just start with a really big photo. Keep a stack of magazines on hand so you can look at how they arrange headlines and try to imitate it. Even if it's really simple, it'll look good as long as you handle the text correctly and select a cover-worthy pic.
