Question:

How can I make blue-black hair dye fade fast?

Back in June, I had my hair lightened and a streak of blonde put into it. It was a medium dark brown. It came out orange instead of blonde because my hair's so dark, so three weeks later, I bleached the streak myself, and it came out alright. Afterwords, I colored it back to my natural dark brown. It's now the end of August and I just colored my hair blue-black with garnier 100% color, but I don't like the way it came out. What are the ways I can make it back to my brown really fast? Because just letting it grow out will take ages.

  1. if its permanent youre screwed

    you'll have to strip it

    and then redye it brown

you can do it yourself without spending a jillion dollars at the hair dresser

its called Color Oops by Loreal i think

    and its ammazing but stinky

it'll put you hair back to a base that you can easily dye brown

  2. if its permanant then you could buy ooops hair remover and pick up a brown dye to put on afterwards......or if you want it black but faded...just wait a few weeks and the washing will fade it out. i have the same problem all the time with dyeing my hair black.

  3. you can be out in the sun alot which will make it get lighter, or get in a pool (chlorine) or if you want it to get lighter right away, then just go to a salon.

  4. Black permanent hair dye does not fade, you should go to a salon and get the dye stripped.

  5. First off, whatever salon you went to before that made your hair orange, don't ever go there again!! No hairdresser worth their salt would ever do that! I have very deep dark brown hair and have been able to go completely blonde without looking like a bleached out p**n star! It looked natural, and never orange.

You should have gone back to that salon and had them put in a toner to tone out the orange, at a minimum. Bleaching out your hair probably really damaged your hair.

There are a few things you can do-you can go to a salon and have your hair stripped. This time go to a good salon. This will be costly. You will also have to have your hair cut. A lot of your hair will be fried after all the processing. You'll want to have it deep conditioned as well, to attempt to temporarily repair what hair is left.

If you don't have the money to go professional you can try washing your hair a bunch of times, that will help your hair fade a little, and you could try an at-home stripping kit. This is risky, and might result in terribly damaged and ugly hair.

You could also try getting it cut kind of short. Then it won't take so long to grow out.

Don't despair, we've all had a hair oops or two. No one is going to care.

  6. Wash your hair as often as you can because washing your hair will help it fade, also try and use a deep cleaning shampoo you can get specific ones from boots but my hairdresser told me head and shoulders is good for helping colour to fade as well.

    Good luck :)

  7. They actually make a hair dye remover kit....
