How can I make centimeter cubed on Microsoft Word 2008? ?

Like I need it to be cm3 except the three small and above the m THANKS!

  1. It is a superscript.

    Highlight the number, right click it, check superscript under effects in the box in the lower half of the popup.

    You could also highlight the number and go to the format dropdown at the top of the Word menu bar.


  2. Not sure what the exact keystrokes would be on a Mac, but on a PC, this is the fastest way to do a superscript:

    1. Select the text you want to make a superscript.

    2. Press CTRL/SHIFT/=

    To make it normal text again, repeat the process.

    To make a subscript, press CTRL/= instead.

  3. Well, you can type "cm" (minus quotes) but after you type "3" highlight it and click Format, and make it superscript. There should be a button for this in Office 2008. The button should show an x with a 3 cubed next to it (in the proper position and the way you're looking for). Click that before you type the 3 and then type 3, or highlight the 3 and click it. It should do exactly what you're looking to do. Hope that answers your question!
