Try PennyTalk. Its more expensive that calling landline to landline, but its still the cheapest option i've found. Cheaper still is Skype, but only if you are willing to call from your computer.

That strictly depends on your landline long distance provider and which contract they had you sign.  Most long distance providers have different packages, depending on how much you want to spend.  

I won't say Yak is the cheapes, but they do have reasonable rates.

Pingo has good calling card rates.
