How can I make colored lights like you would see in a nightclub?

I'm having a nightclub theme birthday party and I want colored lights that won't make the room bright.

You can get black lights, which are really fun. You could also get lightbulbs like this:

You can buy them online, but you can usually find them for fairly cheap in places like target (we use them at my house all the time).

This is an LED light that changes colors and it is really cheap! Plus the website has lot of different kinds of them:

If none of that works or you just don't have any cash, you can always dig out your multicolor christmas lights and use those!

If you want cheap ones you can take some "spot lights" and put colored wax paper over them. (or that colored plastic wrap type stuff. I'm not sure what its called ^^;)
