How can I make homemade popsicles with real fruit in them?

With as little artifical sugar as possible. My kids eat so many popsicles and I am looking for a healthy alternative.

  1. POPSICLES AND FUDGESICLE

    POPSICLE:

    1 (3 oz.) pkg. Jello, any flavor

    1 pkg. Kool-Aid, any flavor

    1 c. sugar

    2 c. hot water

    2 c. cold water

    FUDGESICLE:

    1 (3 oz.) pkg. chocolate instant pudding

    1/2 c. sugar

    1/2 c. cream

    2 c. milk

    Mix and pour into molds. Freeze. For sugar-free Popsicles just use sugar-free ingredients and omit sugar.

    For creamier fudgeicles just add more cream and less milk.

    STRAWBERRY YOGURT POPSICLES

    20 ounces frozen strawberries, unsweetened, thawed

    1 tablespoon gelatin, unflavored

    16 ounces plain lowfat yogurt

    12 packages Sweet 'n Low sweetener, or Equal

    12 3 ounce paper cups

    12 wooden sticks

    Drain strawberries. Place liquid in a saucepan and sprinkle with gelatin.

    Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until gelatin dissolves. Add Equal to yogurt. Mix strawberries, yogurt and gelatin mixture in a blender until smooth. Place paper cups on a tray or baking pan. Fill with blended mixture and cover cups with a sheet of aluminum foil. Insert a wooden stick by making a slit in the foil over the center of each cup.

    Freeze popsicles until firm. Run warm water on the outside of cup to loosen each popsicle from the cup. Makes 12 popsicles.

    BANANA POPSICLES

    3 bananas

    1/3 c. date butter

    1/2 c. chopped nuts or unsweetened coconut

    6 popsicle sticks or wooden skewers

    Cut bananas in 3 to 4 inch lengths; insert a popsicle stick into each, then roll in date butter and chopped nuts or coconut. Freeze 30 to 40 minutes or until almost hard. Serve frozen.

    PEACH POPSICLE

    2 fresh ripe peaches, pitted

    1 c. heavy cream

    2 sugar substitutes

    Sm. Dixie cups

    Popsicle sticks

    NOTE: Substitute 1 small can peaches, drained.

    Peel the peaches and place in a blender. Blend until smooth; add the cream and sugar substitutes; blend. Pour into Dixie cups 3/4 full. Cut a small slit in another cup and place on top of the popsicle; insert the stick and freeze.

    STRAWBERRY BANANA POPSICLES

    1 basket strawberries, hulled

    1 ripe banana

    1/2 c. orange juice

    1/2 c. milk

    2 tbsp. sugar or honey

    10 (3 oz.) paper cups

    10 popsicle sticks

    Put strawberries, banana, orange juice and milk all in a blender and blend until mixture is smooth. Add sugar or honey. Pour mixture into paper cups, leaving 1/4 inch from top to allow for expansion while it is freezing. Freeze for 1 hour, then put popsicle stick in center. Continue freezing until totally frozen. Tear away paper cups when you are ready to eat.

    VANILLA POPSICLES

    2 c. milk

    2 tbsp. sugar

    1 tbsp. vanilla

    Sm. paper cups

    Popsicle sticks

    Combine milk, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl and stir until sugar dissolves. Pour mixture into the paper cups until they are half full. Put popsicle sticks in the cups for handles.

    Freeze in freezer for about four hours.

    BANANA-ORANGE JUICE POPSICLE

    1 c. orange juice

    3 bananas

    2 tbsp. sugar

    1 tbsp. lemon juice

    Mix in blender and put in paper cups or popsicle containers with sticks. Freeze. Yogurt is good in this too.

    FROZEN FRUIT POPSICLES

    1 c. bananas, mashed

    10 oz. frozen strawberries

    1 (13 1/3 oz.) crushed pineapple

    2/3 c. evaporated milk

    Blend in blender and put in popsicle cups or paper cups with sticks. Freeze well. For the little ones on a hot summer day.

    POLYNESIAN POPSICLES

    1 c. skim milk

    1 env. unflavored gelatin

    1/2 c. sugar or honey

    1 1/4 c. apricot nectar or canned pineapple juice

    1 egg white

    Popsicle sticks and cups

    Pour milk into blender and add gelatin. Let soften for 1 minute before adding the rest of the ingredients to whip. Pour into molds, insert sticks, and freeze.

  2. FRUIT POPSICLES  

    2 c. plain yogurt

    1 c. bananas, strawberries, blueberries, etc.

    1/2 c. orange or apple juice

    Blend fruit or berries; add yogurt and juice; mix. Pour into popsicle molds or small paper cups. Freeze. If using cups, insert popsicle stick when partially frozen.

    1 can fruit nectar

    Can chopped up real fruit

    Pour nectar into the cups. Add real fruit, if wanted. Mix it together. Cover with foil and put stick in the center. Freeze.


  4. Take crystal light (sugar free) drink mix and mis as usual;  cut fruit up;  pour liquid into ice cube trays or small dink cups, add fruit and popsicle stick or other "handle until frozen and enjoy

  5. You can freeze juices and put pineapple and grapes  in it. or check your local grocery I know I have seen juice pops.

  6. make your own fruit juice or buy a bottle of it..put it in a popcicle mold and add chunks of fruit to it..freeze and enjoy!!

  7. ok so get some "welch's" mango twist (i think it's the only one with mango) and then you can get a mango and cut it up in small pieces and then mix it together a bit then pour into popsicle molds and freeze. they are super delicious! i make it all the time!
